UPS lies on out for delivery
So what does out for delivery mean from UPS shipping company?
It means they have it on the truck and it should be coming that same day to your location to be delivered.
So what does UPS destination scan not out for delivery mean?
This means that the destination location was scanned for your package and you should have it delivered on the next business day.
So what is the problem?
Well UPS said out for delivery on a Friday when I was waiting for very important items in Upstate New York and I was depending on this delivery for a customer because I'd promised them the delivery of the product.
UPS did not deliver it on that nice 80 degree sun shinning weather day instead they just updated the website saying Adverse weather conditions and then delivered it on Monday.
Well I ended up having to compensate the customer for UPS not properly delivering the part on time. There really was no reason for it but again UPS seems to do this to me and continues to say out for delivery but yet they just don't deliver and the driver brings it back to their facility location and delivers it another day.
Grrrrrr UPS
See below for the "ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS" that was actually a few days before Friday not on that particular Friday nice try! Really upsets me that they have done this over 5 times to me. I'm starting to think the driver does not like to come out to our remote location.

What exactly does "out for delivery mean?" I have the same situation. My item actually says, "your item is available or out for delivery at a PO box." It is an item I am returning to a seller with signature confirmation.
Hi Dan, Its UPS's way of saying its out for delivery but honestly they must put that on the package and im not sure I ever believe it, they just state that when the package is thrown into a truck, but the driver can chose to return the package back to the office for the next day or next week if on a weekend ,.... its all bull****
Wow you have no idea what you're talking about, I AM a UPS driver, and you have NO CLUE as to how we operate. Its people like you who feel entitled, act all demeaning and pushy, I deal with jackasses like you all day long, who have no consideration FOR A DRIVER THAT WORKS 12 HOURS A DAY IN THE MOST BACK BREAKING PHYSICAL LABOR JOB ON THE PLANET. You deliver a 70 pound package in 30 seconds, because thats all you get to park safely, remove package, get to the location, drop it, get back to the truck and drive off. 30 seconds. Wonder why these drivers are fed up with people, because no one considers the shit they put up with, the people, the supervisors, the work itself. If you spent ONE HOUR doing this job you'd have SO MUCH more respect. Grow up.
Take your complaint to UPS then and quit that shitty job, UPS needs to change the work rules don't bitch at us about it, your the one putting up with that crap !
When you order NEXT DAY AIR there's no excuse for what they did. It was on the truck and someone paid a lot for the extra service, one should expect to get it.
